The Pepper Fest Candidate Program

Pepper Fest Candidates are sophomore girls in the Hudson School District who are interested in becoming members of the North Hudson Pepper Fest Royalty. Each year up to 25 Candidates participate in a variety of events over the summer leading up to Pepper Fest weekend and the coronation of the new Pepper Fest Royalty. The young ladies chosen to represent North Hudson Pepper Fest as Queen and Princesses serve during their junior year in parades and other public appearances as goodwill ambassadors for the North Hudson Community.

Pepper Fest Candidates are required to obtain a Sponsor. Pepper Fest Candidate Sponsors receive recognition and publicity on the sponsored Candidate’s official Pepper Fest Candidate T-shirt and banner, on signage during Pepper Fest weekend, in the Pepper Fest weekend guide and on the Pepper Fest website. Two signs for the sponsored Candidate’s Pepper Fest Parade vehicle are also provided. If the Sponsor’s Candidate is chosen to be a member of the newly crowned Pepper Fest Royalty, the Sponsor’s name will be listed on the float that travels to approximately 30 parades throughout the year. The Candidate Sponsorship fee is $299 and is due upon application.

Scholarships Available

The Pepper Fest Queen and Princesses are eligible to receive a $500 scholarship each if criteria is met after their 1st semester of college education.
